It should be noted however, that Sculptra works a little differently than other types of soft-tissue fillers.    When most other fillers are injected, there is an immediate filling and plumping effect.  This effect then decreases over time.  In the case of Sculptra, the Sculptra crystals are suspended in an injectable liquid.  When Sculptra is injected, there is an immediate plumping effect that occurs from the liquid that was injected.  This liquid and any minor swelling that occurs from the Sculptra Injection will disappear in the next several days!  That’s important to understand.  The plumping effects of the Sculptra take several weeks to see the final effect.  Once the initial liquid is gone, some people may believe that the Sculptra didn’t work and seek further correction to the area.  The Sculptra is working.  It just takes several weeks for the Sculptra crystals to reach their full plumping effects.
